Thierry de Sépibus

Managing Partner

Thierry joined SMC Corporate Finance in 2016. For over twenty years he has been exclusively involved in corporate transactions, both on the buy- and sell-side. He is particularly interested in succession situations and corporate development projects (“buy-and-build”). He has a great deal of know-how in the assessment and marketing of very diverse business models in dynamic entrepreneurial environments and a pronounced intercultural competence.

Before becoming a partner at SMC Corporate Finance, Thierry was a consultant at Altium Capital for more than 15 years, most recently as a Managing Director. Before joining the M&A advisory business, he gained experience in industry, commerce and the investment businesses. He spent more than three years as a Senior Investment Manager at Invision, a mid-sized private equity firm. Prior to that, Thierry held various finance positions at Metro Group, Daimler and Swatch Group.

Thierry holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master’s degree in economics with a focus on finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
