SMC Corporate Finance advises Alpha Solutions on its sale to Bechtle
Alpha Solutions AG, based in St. Gallen, was founded in 2000. The company delivers modern ERP, CRM, and cloud solutions. Alpha Solutions is one of the leading Microsoft Dynamics cloud providers in Switzerland and received the Partner of the Year Award from Microsoft in 2015 for its development work in the Swiss market. Its customers include medium-sized Swiss companies with a focus on the food, process and wholesale industries as well as hospitals. Majority shareholder Daniel Popp sees the sale to Bechtle as the best solution for his succession, and is resigning from the company. CEO Stefan Heim will continue to hold his position. The Alpha Solutions brand will also remain intact.
Bechtle AG, headquartered in Neckarsulm, Germany, is one of Europe’s leading IT providers, with some 70 integrators in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as e-commerce subsidiaries in 14 European countries. Bechtle AG is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX indexes and generated revenues of around EUR 4.3bn in 2018.
Stefan Heim, CEO of Alpha Solutions, commented on the transaction as follows: “In Bechtle, we have found the ideal strategic partner to further develop ourselves as a company. We were convinced by the strong entrepreneurial spirit as well as by the high level of competence in the areas relevant to us”. He further added: “With Thierry de Sépibus, we have found a partner who has accompanied us at eye level, contributed a great deal of process expertise and who has always stood up for our interests”.
