SMC Corporate Finance acted as the exclusive M&A advisor to the owner on the parallel sale of Dixa AG and Kennel AG, which are leading companies in the processing and trading of herbs and spices for the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in the processing and distribution of plant-based raw materials in Bio Suisse quality.

Dixa AG was sold to Joh. Gottfr. Schütte GmbH & Co. KG, a family-owned trading company based in Germany that was founded in Bremen in 1792. The company’s business activities include the import of spices and herbs, honey, tea, and various non-food consumer goods from all over the world. As a raw material supplier, the company serves the European food industry and food retail sector.

The sale was not driven by any operational necessity, but by the objective of jointly leveraging synergies and achieving strategic goals as part of the previous owners’ long-term succession planning.

Kennel AG was acquired by RASELLI Erboristeria Biologica, a company specialized in the organic cultivation of tea and organic herbs in the canton of Graubünden.

A team from SMC Corporate Finance exclusively advised the sellers in their search for a suitable strategic partner and supported them in structuring, negotiating, and completing the transaction within the framework of a competitive process.
